Summer, the heat wave, the beach season are here! A happy and carefree holiday should not be overshadowed by an infection collected in a pool or toilet. I will now give you 10+1 tips for this!

1.      Choose only bathing places with reliable water quality and impeccable restrooms. Look for reviews online!

2. Take a shower before and after swimming! By showering before using the pool, you protect the the water quality & other people. By taking a shower afterwards, you can remove chlorine, salt, sand & other impurities.

3.      When you get out of the water, immediately dry yourself with your own clean, dry towel! Wet, slow-drying, tight swimwear provides the best terrain for pathogens for reproduction. Sharing towels is a very bad idea.

4. Then immediately take dry swimsuit or beachwear! (That is, always have more sets for the beach!)

5. Do not sit directly on wet areas (such as a sandy beach or the edge of a pool) Use a dry towel or mat.

6. Swimwear / beachwear should always be loose, well ventilated and breathable, preferably from natural materials. You must not skimp on quality here.

9. The public toilet is always a big problem for girls. Don't even go to a suspicious, poorly cleaned place. Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap before and after. It is worth to wipe the seat with an antiseptic wipe (if you have one), and to follow the "minimum contact" principle…

10. Use a gentle intimate cleanser with an acidic pH. Strong, perfumed soaps, vaginal douches cause more problems than they can help. The vaginal probiotics and lactic acid suppositories may be beneficial!
